COVID-19 Precautions

Here at THE WASHING SALOON, we encourage customers to follow the Covid-19 guidelines in Singapore. Below are further resources that you can get more information:

SafeEntry measures must be observed at all our outlets, and sanitizers are readily available for any of our customers’ usage. We too, are doing our part by regular disinfection and cleaning of each outlet.

COVID-19 and your laundry

You can launder your clothes the same way you would wash a regular load during a pandemic.
Health experts say that no special detergent or bleach is required, but that you should use the warmest water setting possible and make sure to dry them completely.

  • Prepare your dirty laundry before leaving your home to minimize the amount of time you spend outside.
  • If possible, go at a time when there’s likely fewer people in the dry cleaners. We encourage people to visit THE WASHING SALOON during midday and especially during midweek!
  • Practice social distancing.
  • Wear disposable gloves and disinfect the surface of your machine before and after use.
  • Use the warmest water setting possible but check your care labels. WHO (World health organisation) recommends water temperature from between 60-90°C (140-194°F)
  • Dry your clothing completely!
  • Wash or disinfect your laundry basket before putting back the fresh laundry.
  • Wash your hands with soap and water immediately when you get home.

COVID-19 and Ozone (O3)

Our washers offer Ozone (O3), a powerful oxidant that is used to destroy bacteria.

Ozone (O3) is a very reactive and unstable, triatomic form of oxygen (O2). It is formed naturally from atmospheric ocygen by electric discharge. It is the second most powerful oxidant used to destroy bacteria and deodorize smells in the air.
